Since 1997 Smt. Savita Govind English Medium Primary School has been an esteemed institution run by the Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal, Gandhinagar. For about 2 decades this institution has been enriching the lives of its students, dedication to the principle put forward by “Pujya Chhaganbha”. We provide a safe possible learning environment that encourages the scholastic as well as co-scholastic achievement of our students based on the CCE pattern of education affiliated to GSEB.
Every year the deserving students are given meritorious scholarships & prizes to motivate them. The students are provided with all-round development facilities through library, computer lab, co-curricular activities, IAS basic school, NCC, various competitive exams, etc. Regular & frequent medical check-ups are done with the help of qualified doctors. CCTV cameras are installed in each classroom & corridors for monitoring the constant functioning of the school.
The teachers have to attend various workshops & training sessions for their upgradation. The teachers have to appear for various Aptitude tests/Competitive exams conducted inside as well as outside the campus. Currently, our school is working with around 2550 students & 64 well-qualified & trained teachers along with 23 non-teaching staff members. There are 43 classes from grade 1 to 8. Each classroom is equipped with latest smart board technology. For communication & to provide the daily attendance, homework, notices & school happenings to the parents, we use advanced School app.
Smt. Savita Govind Primary English Medium School was established in the year 1997 & is managed by Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal.
During the earlier times, it required a lot of efforts to establish an English medium school in Gandhinagar. The school works on the principle of “Do Good & Good will come back to you” given by Late Shri Chhagabha. At the time of establishment, this institution had started with 330 students with an aim to provide quality education with minimum funds. The school had always focused on giving quality education to the masses. There were 11 teachers who laid down their dedication & commitment for the growth of our institution under the guidance of our Ex-Chairperson, Late Shri Maneklal M. Patel Sir. This school was started from grade 1 to 7 with one division each. This institution is affiliated to Gujarat State Education Board right from the beginning. After a few years time, the number of students gradually increased and so this institution was run in two sessions. i.e. Morning & Afternoon from std 1 to 7.
Since 2014-15, to provide equal opportunities to the students, the school started functioning in morning session only so that it could work efficiently. Since then the school is continuously progressing for the development of the students and to give talented & worthy citizens to the nation.
