University Grants Commission, in its letter dated ****** F.No. ********, has notified that {SVKM/ KSV} has been established by an Act (No. 8 of 2009) of State Legislature of Gujarat as a State Private University, and is empowered to award degrees as specified by the UGC under section 22 of the UGC Act 1956.

SVKM has a zero-tolerance policy against sexual harassment, which is widely condemned as a form of human rights violation, an infringement on life and liberty and a grave form of gender-based discrimination. Sexual harassment of any level is a punishable offence.
As per the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013, an Internal Complaints Committee has been constituted who can be contacted for any complaints.
We care about the well-being of our students and employees, and believe in giving proper attention to any grievances. Students may voice their grievances by filling out the following form (Grievance Redressal Form), and submitting it to the Dean of the concerned Centre/School. The employees may register their grievance by filling out the following form (Grievance Redressal Form) and submitting it to the Registrar.
SVKM has strictly prohibited ragging, and will take any required actions to prevent and deter the recurrence of such incidences. Ragging of, and among students of any form, at any place is prohibited and will not be tolerated. To learn more, please read the Anti-Ragging Policy. Any student of Institution found indulging and / or abetting any form of ragging shall face strict disciplinary action, including the possible debarring of such students from taking admissions in any institutions of higher learning in the country.
SVKM has constituted an Anti-ragging Committee for the academic year 2019-20 for each institutes.This has been constituted in pursuance of directions and guidelines issued by Honorable Supreme Court and the University Grants Commission to prohibit, prevent and eliminate the scourge of ragging.
