Physiotherapy on Wheels

Mobile Physiotherapy Van:
The main aim of this van is to serve society by free Physiotherapy treatment. This is started in October 2017 which is first of its kind in Gujarat state. It covers around 70 kilometers of Gandhinagar district on everyday basis and served approximately 4500 patients till date.

Also 45 camps are conducted which includes various geriatric homes like rahelba old age home, magodi- kailsahdham, pethapur – shantiniketan, adalaj-  mavtar dham, kalol and various community centres like Jalaram Temple Community Hall, Gandhinagar, Sector-8 Dispensary, Gandhinagar. Etc.  Where on an average daily 30 patients are treated.

Through our “PTOW” home care patients have access to all our clinic amenities with uninterrupted one-on-one care. Treatment includes a professional treatment table, manual therapy administered by health care provider, modalities (ultrasound, laser, TENS, exercise equipment, etc.), and an individual exercise program.

Adoption

The Trust has adopted “Anganwadi” of nearby villages of the city.

The Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) in the country are part of the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) Scheme which is a centrally sponsored Scheme. At the AWCs, six services namely (i) Supplementary nutrition (ii) Pre-school non-formal education (iii) Nutrition and health Education (iv) Immunization (v) Health check-up and (vi) Referral services are provided for holistic development of 0-6 years of children. Pregnant & Lactating Mothers are also the beneficiaries.

Objective of 'Anganwadi'

The objectives of the ICDS Scheme are (i) to improve the nutritional and health status of children in the age-group 0-6 years; (ii) to lay the foundation for proper psychological, physical and social development of the child; (iii) to reduce the incidence of mortality, morbidity, malnutrition and school dropout; (iv) to achieve effective co-ordination of policy and implementation amongst the various departments to promote child development; and (v) to enhance the capability of the mother to look after the normal health and nutritional needs of the child through proper nutrition and health education.

Provide Nourishment to deprived Children

Children (0-6 years) who have received supplementary nutrition and attended pre-school education at Anganwadi Centres under ICDS Scheme. SVKM provide children, hygienic and healthy Food & Fruits. The Trust has adopted 4 Schools started by Government of Gujarat. Under the Guidance of Experienced and Devoted Office Bearers of the Trust, the Schools Grew. The Government of India has accorded high priority to the issue of malnutrition in the country and is implementing several schemes/programmes of different Ministries/Departments through State Governments/UT Administrations.
