College offers various Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate and Ph.D. level programs in Science, Arts and Vocational stream.
• In Science Stream, college offers Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics and Biotechnology at UG level, where as Chemistry and Mathematics at PG as well as Ph.D level.
• In Arts Stream College offers History, Gujarati, Sanskrit and English at UG level whereas History, Gujarati and Sanskrit at PG as well as Ph.D level.
• In Vocational discipline, college offers B.Voc , M.Voc and research programs in Textile, Agriculture, Pharmaceutical, Ceramic, IT and tourism sector under DDU KAUSHAL Kendra by University Grants Commission.

  • In 1965, Sarva Vidyalaya Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) Kadi trust established Science College in Kadi to cater the requirement of the regional students who had to travel to remote cities for higher education in Science discipline. Further, in 1991, the Kadi Science College got the divine blessings of Pramukh Swami Maharaj and the college was named as Pramukh Swami Science College. Soon the Arts faculty was also introduced in this college and the college was again renamed as Pramukh Swami Science and H.D.Patel Arts College, Kadi.
  • Addition to this, in 1999, Pramukh Swami Centre for Post-graduate Studies and Research Centre was inaugurated with M.Sc. Chemistry at initial level and in 2001 Industrial Chemistry as well as in 2005 Mathematics were started, in 2012 Chemistry, Bio-technology and Environment Science as a constituent Post-Graduate Departments are initiated with Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalaya.
    With Science, research and development in Arts Faculty is also initiated in 2010 with Post graduate programs in History, Gujarati and Sanskrit.
  • Research Programs at Ph. D. level are introduced in the institute in Chemistry, Mathematics and physics in Science and History, Gujarati and Sanskrit in Arts faculty.
  • In 2004, a B.Sc. Biotechnology and B.A. Special English courses have been introduced in the college to add a feather in the crown. The college now has to its credit graduation, post-graduation and research programs up to Ph.D. in Science & Arts disciplines run by the most experienced and dedicated faculty members.
    In 2010, UGC awarded the institute as ‘College with Potential for Excellence’ and has provided a special grant of One crore.
  • The College is awarded AAA Rank 1 by Govt. of Gujarat.
    College is accredited in 2014 and 2019 with ‘A’ Grade by NAAC

  • “Pramukh Swami Science & H.D.Patel Arts College, affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University has shown development in all dimensions of college/university education.


  • We have introduced many professional courses for the multidimensional career building of the students. This includes Industrial Chemistry (since 1997), Biotechnology (since 2004) and Principal English Literature (since 2005). In order to maintain continuity and consistency in the curriculum, we also offer postgraduate courses in Pure Chemistry (Organic Chemistry), Industrial Chemistry and Pure Mathematics.

  • Our well-qualified staff and the institute updates the students by organizing various seminars, conferences, and workshops regularly. Our staff is well-versed in the research activity, as a part of which they regularly publish papers and participate in various national and international conferences and present their research work. They have carried out several major and minor research projects sponsored by UGC. Due to this, the institute has availed studies up to the Ph.D. level.

  • We encourage our students to take part in various academic as well as cultural activities in college and at the university level to bring out their latent potential. They participate actively in NSS and NCC which has given a unique identity to this college. As a result, they have got opportunities at the national and international levels.

  • The college has developed a versatile library which consists of ample books on different subjects. The college is also equipped with a fully furnished computer laboratory with internet access. To add to this infrastructure the college has also established a research laboratory. Apart from this, our institution provides excellent hostel facilities for boys and girls as well.”
