Welcome to H.V.H.P Institute of Post Graduation and Studies and Research!

Hiraben Vitthalbhai Hemdas Patel Institute of Post Graduate studies and Research was established in 2012, is a constituent institute of Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalay, Gandhinagar . A fairly recent addition to the long list of educational institutes of Kadi Sarva Vishwavidyalay, -a university established in 2007.

Dearth of colleges providing education in basic sciences and increasing demand of graduate and post graduate students in basic sciences was instrumental in development of the college. Initiated with a limited number of students and only two post graduate programs, the college has rapidly developed in to a mature institute churning out quality graduates and post graduates in basic sciences.

 

  • M.Sc. courses is a potential base provided by the KSV to educate and prepare post graduate students from rural and urban areas who will get employment on large scale in the Indian Pharmaceutical/Chemical Industries as well as in multinational companies.
  • In order to enhance quality, standard and skilled training to the post graduate students, well organized and planned affords of the Department of Chemistry will meet the global standards in post graduate teaching, research and training programmes.
  • One of the objectives of M.Sc. course in Chemistry is to meet the need and requirement of the modern society in a focused area to solve the humanities top most problems like energy, materials food, water & environment for next fifty years.

  • “Pramukh Swami Science & H.D.Patel Arts College, affiliated to Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University has shown development in all dimensions of college/university education.


  • We have introduced many professional courses for the multidimensional career building of the students. This includes Industrial Chemistry (since 1997), Biotechnology (since 2004) and Principal English Literature (since 2005). In order to maintain continuity and consistency in the curriculum, we also offer postgraduate courses in Pure Chemistry (Organic Chemistry), Industrial Chemistry and Pure Mathematics.

  • Our well-qualified staff and the institute updates the students by organizing various seminars, conferences, and workshops regularly. Our staff is well-versed in the research activity, as a part of which they regularly publish papers and participate in various national and international conferences and present their research work. They have carried out several major and minor research projects sponsored by UGC. Due to this, the institute has availed studies up to the Ph.D. level.

  • We encourage our students to take part in various academic as well as cultural activities in college and at the university level to bring out their latent potential. They participate actively in NSS and NCC which has given a unique identity to this college. As a result, they have got opportunities at the national and international levels.

  • The college has developed a versatile library which consists of ample books on different subjects. The college is also equipped with a fully furnished computer laboratory with internet access. To add to this infrastructure the college has also established a research laboratory. Apart from this, our institution provides excellent hostel facilities for boys and girls as well.”
