To provide and maintain a dignified, congenial working environment for women employees (including teaching, non-teaching and contractual workers) and students, where they can work, study and explore their potential to the fullest, a committee of the following members has been constituted as “Women Development Cell”

In pursuance of the directions issued by the UGC and MHRD, SVKM, KSV has set up the Women Development Cell (WDC) and prescribed norms to sensitize the community with regard to gender related issues and create a gender friendly environment:

Objectives of Women Development Cell

To enhance the self-esteem and self-confidence of women students, faculty and staff in the Institution

To promote intellectual and cultural activities for overall personality development of student.

To provide proper guidance to girl students about physical appearance, behavior and physical and mental strength.

To create legal awareness on specific issues concerning girl students and women.

To create social awareness about the problems of women and in particular regarding gender discrimination.

To develop critical thinking ability of Girl students such that it enhances decision-making ability.

Promotion, development and dissemination of knowledge regarding the role of girl students and women in the present social context.
