What can be a happier moment other than presenting the second issue of our college’s e-journal ‘The Churning’? Uma Arts & Nathiba Commerce Mahila College, Gandhinagar is prominent college awarded with NAAC ‘A’ grade in third cycle of accreditation as well as is awarded twice with the CPE (College with Potential for Excellence). Our attempt is to provide students with employability skills along with good education. Faculties of the college are engaged in research in various ways. The college had organized a national seminar on Cultural Heritage. We thought of preparing a special issue publishing papers presented by our faculties in the seminar. And hence the second issue carries many papers by our faculties.

The second issue covers research articles on English and Sanskrit literatures, economics, psychology, library science, Geography and cultural tourism. Moreover, there are two book reviews on theatre, one in Gujarati and the other in English. I sincerely hope that the articles presented here shall be useful to scholars in their pursuit of learning.

I must thank and acknowledge the unwavering support of the Chairman Sir, Shri Vallabhbhai M. Patel, and the Principal, Dr. Amrita Paresh Patel, towards various research initiatives and this e-journal is one of them. I am also thankful to the Research Committee of the college for helping in bringing out this issue.
